Ghibli Ltd. Opens New Logistics Center in Debrecen’s Southern Industrial Zone. Ghibli Ltd., a company specializing in freight transportation and warehouse logistics, has opened a new logistics center in Debrecen, located in the Southern Economic Zone. The nearly 23,000-square-meter facility, situated near Debrecen International Airport, is planned to be used for finished goods storage starting next month. The center aims to serve both the local economy and ensure continuity within the regional supply chain.
Final touches are currently underway in the expansive warehouse, which is set to become a hub for finished goods storage from May. Ghibli Ltd., which operates across road, rail, sea, and air freight sectors, as well as warehouse logistics and customs services, will utilize the new facility to ease pressure on the road infrastructure of the Southern Industrial Park.
Debrecen is becoming a distribution logistics hub in Hungary, capable of serving not only the city itself but also neighboring countries. This positions Debrecen as a strategic logistics location—and we want to be part of that development,
summarized Zoltán Szabó, Managing Director of Ghibli Ltd.
The nearly 23,000-square-meter hall was developed by the XANGA Group, using cutting-edge industrial technologies to ensure the facility meets the highest standards of modern and sustainable logistics infrastructure.
In the past 25 years, we have not undertaken a development of this scale in Debrecen, as the market demand for such specialized services did not previously exist. However, with the arrival of large-scale industrial companies and based on our projections, these specialized 'big box' logistics solutions will become a cost-effective way to meet market needs now and in the future,
said István Herdon, President and CEO of the XANGA Group.
Mayor László Papp emphasized that industrial, technological, and logistics investments in the Southern Industrial Park not only contribute to strengthening the local economy but also support the stability of regional supply chains. Ghibli Ltd. plays a vital role in fulfilling this function.
The development of industry is unimaginable without the expansion of logistics infrastructure. Efficient and modern logistics systems are essential for production, manufacturing, supplier chains, and access to export markets,
stated Mayor László Papp.
With the addition of the Debrecen logistics center, Ghibli Ltd. now operates across more than 120,000 square meters. The company plans to lease two more warehouse facilities this year and next, effectively doubling its current storage capacity.
