Sensirion Could Double Production Capacity and Workforce with New Manufacturing Hall in Debrecen

The sustainably operated facility was developed through an investment by the joint industrial real estate development company of the XANGA and SZINORG Groups, tailored specifically to the needs of Sensirion Hungary Kft., a manufacturer of high-tech digital microsensors and systems.

The Swiss-headquartered Sensirion has been continuously developing its Debrecen subsidiary for years. This second manufacturing hall marks another milestone: the high-tech company can now double its local production capacity with the modern and sustainable 6,600-square-meter facility.

Similarly to our manufacturing plant in Stäfa, this site was designed to be entirely free of fossil fuels. We cover the energy requirements of our manufacturing processes with 80 geothermal probes, heat pumps with nearly one megawatt of heating and cooling capacity, as well as a solar power plant,

The joint development company of the SZINORG and XANGA Groups built the manufacturing hall as a proprietary investment of 4.5 billion HUF, customized to the requirements of Sensirion.

Sensirion represents the exact sector we consistently highlight when discussing our goal to attract manufacturing enterprises that possess modern technology, high added value, and high innovation. Sensors are integrated into our daily lives today, but even more so in the future—it is truly the technology of tomorrow,

As highlighted during the opening ceremony, Sensirion’s latest development carries a significance that extends beyond itself: it serves as validation for Debrecen’s economy- and knowledge-based urban development.

We envision the future of Debrecen as a city defined by qualitative growth. Sensirion brings exactly this quality: precision, innovation, an engineering culture, and reliability,

Sensirion will install production lines worth a total of 4 billion HUF into the new facility. According to plans, as these assembly lines are progressively deployed, they could double their current workforce of 100 employees in the future.
